What’s in the Ultimate Edition?
Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and more, woven into every part of Jason and Lucia’s story. It adds items, not a new campaign. You can also buy it later as an upgrade.
The collector’s box is something else
Don’t confuse the Ultimate Edition with the $399.99 Vice City Collection. That’s a merchandise box (Macca the Gator figure, apparel and more) with no game included.
Ultimate vs Standard FAQ
What is the difference between GTA 6 Standard and Ultimate Edition?
Both include the full game. The Ultimate Edition ($99.99) adds an exclusive collection of in-game items: premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and more, which Rockstar says are woven through Jason and Lucia’s story. Standard is $79.99.
Does the Ultimate Edition include extra story?
No extra story campaign has been announced. The Ultimate content is exclusive items that show up across the main story.
Can I upgrade from Standard to Ultimate later?
Yes. Rockstar says you can upgrade to the Ultimate Edition at any time, including after launch.
Do both editions get the pre-order bonus?
Yes. Pre-ordering either edition gets you the Vintage Vice City Pack when the game launches on November 19, 2026.
Is the Ultimate Edition worth $20 more?
Only if you want the bonus items on day one. Because you can upgrade later, most players can start with Standard and decide once they’ve played.
Does the collector’s box include the Ultimate Edition?
No. The $399.99 Vice City Collection is merchandise only and doesn’t include any copy of the game.
