How the estimate was made
Fans on GTAForums have been rebuilding Leonida frame by frame from official trailers and screenshots. They match landmarks, road layouts and coastlines, then scale the result using objects with known real-world sizes, such as cars and road lanes. In April 2024 that project put the land area at about 125 km².
What makes up the GTA 6 map
Rockstar has confirmed six places across Leonida:
- Vice City: the Miami-inspired metropolis in the southeast
- Leonida Keys: an island chain to the south
- Grassrivers: Everglades-style wetlands
- Port Gellhorn: a faded coastal town in the northwest
- Ambrosia: the industrial heartland in the center
- Mount Kalaga National Park: northern wilderness

Will the map expand after launch?
